From its humble beginnings in Marilia, Sao Paulo Banco Bradesco SA has become one of the largest most profitable banks in Latin America. It has diversified its interest from just a financial institution to offer other services such as insurance. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi, the current president of the bank, has been one of the most loyal employees of the bank having worked there for his entire life. He was first employed as a clerk at age seventeen and over the years was able to rise through the ranks and hold almost all influential positions in the bank, capping it all with the president being only the fourth person to hold that position since the bank’s inception in 1969.

His rise to the top as based on spectacular performances in the various roles he held such as marketing director. During his tenure, he was tasked with revamping the banks PR machinery and Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi did not disappoint. He worked on getting the bank better acquainted with the media and was more present to answer questions pertaining to its operations. After a successful term as Marketing director, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi would be chosen to head Bradesco Seguros their insurance wing. His first role was to set goals that he would attain over his tenure here.
During the eight years that he oversaw the wing, he was able to capture approximately twenty-five percent of the entire insurance industry, making one of the biggest players in the insurance industry in Brazil. This would be followed by his appointment to managing director of the bank before moving up to executive vice president of Banco Bradesco. This was back in 1998. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi has been able to achieve so much over his forty year career that today he is considered as one of the most influential banks in Brazil as well as Latin America.
